How are Finned Tubes Classified in Finned Tube Heat Exchangers?
Finned tubes can be categorized into two fundamental types, longitudinal and radial, based on their structural form. Other variations are developments or modifications of these two types. Fin shapes include round, rectangular, and needle-shaped. Additionally, fins can be positioned outside the tube (outer fin tube) or inside the tube (inner fin tube), or a combination of both. Manufacturing processes classify finned tubes into integral finned tubes, welded finned tubes, high-frequency welded finned tubes, and mechanically connected finned tubes.

Classification and Characteristics of Wet Air Coolers
Wet air coolers are classified into three types based on working conditions: humidification types, spray types, and combined types. Each type has unique advantages. The spray type employs water spray evaporation cooling, directly misting water onto the fin surface. The humidification type sprays water at the air inlet, facilitating water evaporation in the humidification chamber. The spray type combines the benefits of evaporative cooling and air cooling, surpassing the humidifying type in heat transfer enhancement and adaptability to environmental temperature. However, potential scaling issues limit the medium temperature to around 80°C.

Explanation of a Hybrid Heat Exchanger
A hybrid heat exchanger, also known as a contact heat exchanger, achieves heat exchange through direct contact between cold and hot fluids. After mixing and exchanging heat, the two fluids must be separated, making this type suitable for gas-to-liquid heat exchange.

A regenerative heat exchanger alternately flows cold and hot fluids through the regenerator surface to exchange heat.

Example of a Partition Wall Heat Exchanger
The partition wall heat exchanger, also referred to as a surface heat exchanger, employs solid partition walls to separate cold and hot fluids and facilitate heat exchange. Depending on the heat transfer surface structure, partition wall heat exchangers are categorized as tube types, plate types, and other forms.
